Pre-Care

To ensure the best results from your treatment, please follow the instructions below:

Discontinue use of retinols and any products that may dehydrate the skin 2 to 7 days prior to your treatment.
Stop using all exfoliating products at least 1 week prior to your appointment.
Avoid sun exposure for 2+ weeks before treatment and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (UVA/UVB) with SPF 30+ when outdoors.
Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face, and do not apply skincare products or sunscreen on the day of your appointment.

Aftercare for all Fotona procedures

Redness and swelling are normal and may last from a few hours to a few days depending on the treatment depth.
Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area for at least 12 hours.
Use a gentle cleanser (fragrance-free) and lukewarm water for washing your face. Avoid hot water.
Moisturize frequently with a barrier-repair or post-laser moisturizer (we can recommend options during your visit).
Avoid direct sun exposure and wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily.
Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours or until redness subsides (varies per treatment).
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers for 24 to 48 hours post-treatment.
Do not exfoliate, pick, or peel the treated skin.
Minor flaking or roughness may occur. This is part of the natural renewal process.

Aftercare by treatment

Fotona4D® (full face rejuvenation)

Mild swelling and redness can last 24 to 72 hours. Avoid extremely cold or hot temperatures on the face. You may resume your normal skincare routine within 48 to 72 hours unless otherwise advised. Optimal results occur with a series of treatments; collagen stimulation will continue for several weeks.

SmoothEye® (periorbital rejuvenation)

Expect mild puffiness and tightness around the eyes. Apply cold compresses (not ice) for short periods if needed to reduce swelling. Avoid wearing eye makeup for 48 to 72 hours. Use gentle, hydrating eye creams and avoid rubbing the area.
