Pre-Care

To ensure the best results from your treatment, please follow the instructions below:

Discontinue use of retinols and any products that may dehydrate the skin 2 to 7 days prior to your treatment.
Stop using all exfoliating products at least 1 week prior to your appointment.
Avoid sun exposure for 2+ weeks before treatment and apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (UVA/UVB) with SPF 30+ when outdoors.
Please arrive with a clean, makeup-free face, and do not apply skincare products or sunscreen on the day of your appointment.

Do

Use a gentle cleanser (fragrance-free) and lukewarm water to cleanse the area starting 12 hours after treatment.
Apply a hydrating, healing ointment or barrier cream as recommended by your provider (examples: Aquaphor, Alastin or post-laser balms).
Moisturize frequently to support the healing process.
Apply SPF 30+ daily, even when indoors, for at least 2 weeks post-treatment.
Stay hydrated and maintain a balanced diet to support skin regeneration.
Sleep with your head slightly elevated the first night to minimize swelling.

Avoid

Do not touch, scratch, or pick at the treated area.
Avoid makeup for at least 24 to 48 hours, or until your provider gives clearance.
Do not use active skincare ingredients (e.g., retinols, AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C, benzoyl peroxide) for 5 to 7 days.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks.
No hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours post-treatment.

Small spots of crusting are possible and may appear 1 to 3 days post treatment; they will exfoliate naturally. Do not rub harshly or remove them manually. Swelling may occur, particularly in areas treated with higher energy, and you may also have some bruising; both should subside over several days. Itching may occur as areas heal. Do not scratch.
