Neuromodulator Aftercare Instructions
Neuromodulators are injectable treatments designed to temporarily relax targeted facial muscles, softening expression lines and preventing the formation of new wrinkles. For best results, please follow the aftercare instructions below carefully.
✅ What You SHOULD Do:
- Remain upright for at least 4 hours after treatment. This helps prevent the product from migrating to unintended areas.
- Use the injected muscles periodically for the first few hours (e.g., raise eyebrows, frown, squint) to help activate the neuromodulator.
- Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet to support overall wellness.
- Return to your normal skincare routine after 24 hours, avoiding pressure on treated areas.
- Follow up in 2 weeks if a touch-up or adjustment is needed (especially if this is your first treatment).
❌ What You SHOULD NOT Do:
- Do NOT lie down or bend over for prolonged periods for at least 4 hours post-treatment.
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours.
- Do not apply makeup, creams, or pressure directly to the injection sites for at least 6–8 hours.
- Avoid intense exercise, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or anything that causes excessive sweating for 24 hours.
- No facials, massages, or skin treatments to the treated areas for at least 7 days.
- Avoid alcohol consumption and blood-thinning medications (unless prescribed) for 24 hours post-injection to reduce bruising.
⏱️ What to Expect After Treatment:
- You may notice small red bumps or swelling at the injection sites immediately after treatment—this usually resolves within 15–60 minutes.
- Mild bruising or tenderness can occur and typically resolves in a few days.
- Results begin to appear in 3–5 days, with full effect at 10–14 days.
- Results typically last 3–4 months, depending on the product and individual response.
